On February 8, 2018, Maris Kuchinskis became the first foreign prime minister who visited the China-Belarus Industrial Park. The head of the industrial park administration Mr. Yaroshenko A.G. and the general manager of the «Industrial Park Development Company» Mr. Li Haixin met the delegation led by the Prime Minister of Latvia.
During the visit Mr. Yaroshenko A.G. and Mr. Li Haixin jointly presented to the delegation the industrial park model, told about the process of formation and development of the «Great Stone», about the progress of the infrastructure construction and the residents of the industrial park, as well as the preferential policy defined by the presidential decree №166. After inspecting the model, the delegation visited the exhibition and trade center of the China Merchants Group.
The Latvian delegation emphasized its intention to develop cooperation with the «Great Stone» in the field of logistics, which will increase the transit flows of goods to the Latvian ports through the Republic of Belarus.
